Practical Preparation Tips for MJBizCon 2022

You should answer this question before traveling to MJBizCon: Why are you attending MJBizCon, and what do you want from the experience? Set goals for MJBizCon to maximize the efficiency of time spent in attendance.

Are you planning to exhibit at MJBizCon? Exhibiting at MJBizCon is an excellent opportunity to increase your reach during the conference. Before doing so, you must decide if your business is prepared to exhibit at MJBizCon.

Determine if you have enough employees needed to staff your booth space and/or address goals effectively. Decide how many potential customers you should meet to get a return on your investment in booth space. You may determine that purchasing booth space at MJBizCon is not the most cost-effective method of meeting new customers. Consider co-hosting an MJBizCon mixer or party if you do not have the budget for booth space. There are other ways to meet new customers at MJBizCon besides exhibiting.

While Attending MJBizCon 2022, Be Sure To…

Walking the convention center floor at MJBizCon is an inexpensive way to meet new customers. However, remember that walking the floor can drain your energy if you do not have a plan.

Review the exhibitor list and select the booths you plan to visit before stepping on the floor. Make use of MJBizCon’s conference-planning software, My Show Planner, which will help you reach attendees. Seek networking opportunities in convention center spaces like dining and smoking areas to network in a relaxed environment. On the last day of MJBizCon, take advantage of the lack of congestion on the exhibit hall floor when networking is easiest.

Don’t Skip Out on MJBizCon 2022 Afterparties

While attending MJBizCon, maintain the energy to participate in the litany of parties scheduled after the convention center floor closes. Previous MJBizCon attendees understand the best networking opportunities at MJBizCon happen at the after parties.

Do not miss these afterparties. Research ahead of time to find the best parties and RSVP to them. Ask MJBizCon attendees about the afterparties they plan to attend and seek an invite if you do not have one.

Successful Networking at MJ BizCon 2022

Prepare yourself to network from the time you land until hotel checkout time. You have an opportunity to connect with other cannabis industry professionals on the plane traveling to Las Vegas. Networking opportunities will arise while waiting in line for a club or cab. The most vital connections happen when you are not walking the convention center floor.

Keep plenty of physical business cards in your pockets. Download a smartphone app that will allow you to share your contact info quickly. You want to be able to easily contact your new connections as soon as you get back home.

The most crucial advice for MJBizCon 2022 attendees:

  1. Practice self-care.
  2. Eat healthy food, drink water, and get enough sleep.
  3. Wear comfortable shoes that allow you to walk several miles.
  4. Take a quiet moment for yourself in a secluded place.
  5. Monitor your alcohol and cannabis consumption to ensure it does not interfere with networking.
